This course covers OHSA standards for the control of hazardous energy, and
industry standards which may be greater than current legislation. A wallet
card and certificate are awarded to each participant upon completion of the course.
Supervisors, contractors at multi-employer workplaces, affected employees,
maintenance and repair workers, and anyone working on or around electrical,
mechanical, or other equipment with applied or retained energy, or
that is subject to movement by gravity.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify sources and types of energy hazards
- Identify hazards in the workplace;
- Know and understand OHSA requirements
- Know how to identify "affected persons"
- Know how and where to apply locks and tags
- Know how and when to document locks and tags
- Demonstrate knowledge of these areas and OSHA
